Creativity, Excitement, and Confidence in the Future at Euroskills 2025

From September 9–13, Messecenter Herning in Denmark will be filled with a unique energy. More than 600 young talents from across Europe will gather here to compete in Euroskills – one of the world’s largest events for vocational education and craftsmanship.

Supporting an event that encourages young people to be creative and develop professional skills feels deeply meaningful.

Sjöbergs benches is a part of the competition

Sjöbergs is proud to be part of this important event. For this year’s competition, we have contributed more than 40 workbenches of the models Sjöbergs Elite 2000 and Sjöbergs Original 1900, which are used in the cabinet making, joinery, and carpentry categories. Each competitor has their own bench as the foundation of their workspace, after which they can set up the area with the tools and accessories they personally wish and need.

We see it as an important investment in the craftsmen and creators of the future.

From Sweden, 23 skilled participants are competing in various disciplines, and their dedication and talent make us proud.

In Competition Hall M, we also had the opportunity to speak with Henrik Andersson, Deputy Chief Expert in the cabinet making category. He is the expert supporting the Swedish competitor Daniel Löwing, who is representing Sweden in the same discipline. Daniel has previously competed in Worldskills, where he won a medal of excellence, and is now bringing his experience to Euroskills.

Henrik, who has also competed in these contexts himself, explains the setup of both being Daniel’s expert and at the same time assessing the performances of all competitors:

“During the actual competition, I’m not allowed to talk to Daniel about his work. That’s an important principle, since it really is his own knowledge and skills being put to the test. My support can only come in the evenings and during breaks, but in the competition itself he is entirely on his own.”

An experience for everyone

At EuroSkills you encounter an incredible range of professions and skills – from CNC operators, florists, and bakers to hairdressers, CAD technicians, mechanics, and carpenters. It truly showcases the diversity of trades that shape our future.

Many parents and spectators we spoke to believe the competition deserves much more attention in Sweden. When you see the dedication and pride of both the competitors and their countries, it becomes clear: this is not just a competition – it is a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and the workforce of tomorrow.
